How to Add CSS Codes in Blogger Templates

As a starter it is difficult to customize or edit a blogger template. n my starting days I was also faced many difficulties in designing my blogger templates. For my convenience I change my template on constant basis which is totally wrong and makes bad impression on Search Engines.  Few days ago our user asked that how he can add CSS Codes in Blogger template. That's why I decided to write an article about adding CSS Coding in Blogger Templates. This helps you to develop or customize your template by your own instead of hiring any developer. So, today I am going to write an article about How to Add CSS Codes in Blogger Templates.

Methods to Add CSS Codes in Blogger Templates:

1. By Editing Template HTML (For Developers)
2. By Using Blogger Template Designer (For Beginners)

Adding CSS to Blogger by Editing Template HTML:

This method is recommended to all template designers who develop and design blogger templates. The very first thing you would be going is to login to blogger dashboard and go to Template >> Edit HTML >> Search for ]]></b:skin> tag and just above it paste the CSS code that you would like to add to your blogger site.

Once everything is done, you are finish customizing your template you can preview the changes that you have done before applying it to your site by pressing “Preview template” button. After previewing if the results are satisfactory press the “Save Template” button present towards the top of the template editor. Your CSS is successfully applied to your Blog Template.

Adding CSS to Blogger Using Template Designer:

This is another great function of blogger that it provides an ease for beginners to edit their Blogger Templates. In this way you can easily add images, CSS Codes and much more things to your blogger templates. Below is the method to Add CSS to Blogger using Blogger Template Designer. From Blogger dashboard go to Template >> Customize as it can be seen in the screenshot below:

Now you will notice a step of tools above your screen and live preview of your blog towards the bottom. Select “Advanceed >> Add CSS” and in the empty text box area paste your CSS codes.  Since, the preview of your blog is interactive. Therefore, while adding CSS codes you can notice the changes being done on that preview window.

Once everything is done press orange “Apply to Blog” button present at the top right corner of your screen.

Editors Corner:  If you are a beginner, don't try to use developers method to Add CSS because it will mess up your blog template which can destroy your blog.
